Admissions

Our school offers places to children who are 4 years old by the 31st August before a child starts in the September of the academic year. 

For September 2025 the school will be offering 30 places in our Reception class for children born between 1st September 2020 to 31st August 2021.

For September 2024 the school offered 30 places in our Reception class for children born between 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2020.

In School Tours

The school will be conducting small tours for prospective parents for the 2025 intake.  

Open Mornings will be held on every Tuesday morning at 9.30a.m.

Please email the school office at adminstmartins@stpm.org.uk to confirm your interest.  The maximum number of adults in a group will be 12.  Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

For In Year applications please email the office to arrange a time and date to tour the school.

Supplementary Information Form 2025 - 2026

Parents need to apply to both the Local Authority AND the school.

For the School - You can download the supplementary information above.  Please email back to adminstmartins@stpm.org.uk to register.  If you would rather a paper copy of the supplementary information form please either email or call the school and a paper copy will be sent to you.

Applicants need to email or post their supplementary information forms back to the school with copies of the following documents:

  • Baptism Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Council Tax or Utility Bill

Please do not send any original documents to the school.

For the Local Authority - You must also apply for the school through the borough you live in.

The closing date for the local authority is 15th January 2025.  The last date to drop off forms at the school is 3.30pm on Friday 15th January 2025.

 

Please Note -

In Year applications  Until 31st August 2025

Parents should contact the school office for an application form.

You should return these to the school along with all supporting documents – birth certificate, baptism certificate, proof of address.

Parents will be notified of the outcome of the application within 10 school days of receiving the documentation.

If your child is NOT successful in gaining a place you will be advised why and information will be shared about how to appeal the decision.

In the meantime they will be added to the waiting list for a place.

The local authority will be notified of every In Year application to the school and the outcome of the application within two days of the parents being offered a place.

Reception Class Appeals Process

If you have not been successful in obtaining a place for your child and you would like to appeal, please contact the School Office for a Reception Class Appeals Process and Form (adminstmartins@stpm.org.uk)

Please return the form to the School Office for the attention of the Chair of Governors.
