Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is additional government funding for schools to support disadvantaged children and those from deprived backgrounds. It’s a school-level grant that enables schools to fund extra resources to help them meet challenges.
The main aims for Pupil Premium funding allocated is to:
-
improve the academic outcomes of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities
-

Schools can spend the money in any way they see fit but are accountable for how they use this additional funding. Performance tables now reflect the achievement of pupils who benefit from the Pupil Premium funding.
